A permanent research station in Antarctica (Comandante Ferraz Brazilian Antarctic Station) which burned in February 2012, is planned to be rebuilt.
The research station will be built with the latest design. Arquitetura Triptyque architecture firm has made design. Thus was launched Archdaily.com, Thursday (25/4).
As seen from the photograph (side), the building is designed to form branches. Functions that more crowing even in extreme weather conditions.
Additionally twig forms facilitate the researchers do activities without having to focus on one area.
The building has two floors. Where at the bottom there is a triangle-shaped hole that extends up along the building. This hole serves the function of allowing the wind to pass through the building, so as to prevent the accumulation of ice.
The building on the hole, paired a crane that carries freight logistics and other needs. This makes the task of delivery logistics become more practical. Given the continued use of carrier impact on the fragile state of the environment.
